The importance of rearing queen<\/span>

The rearing queen is one of the most delicate tasks in beekeeping. In this way, young and new queens replace old and aged queens. At the same time, the colony depends on one queen and its population. For this reason, the colony should be given the best race of the queen. So that the colony becomes strong and the hives find new power in reproduction and production of natural honey and thus is increased its products.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Bees have a long history of interacting with humans, and even before humans learned to read and write, they exploited this beneficial insect. Today, the role of bees is important in the pollination of many plants.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

A relatively large share of various plant and animal products that are important in nutrition and human survival, is related to this insect. Bee products such as honey, wax, royal jelly<\/a>, propolis, pollen, bee venom and\u2026 in the beekeeping industry and many other industries including pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, candles, molds, dentistry, casting, Textiles, waxing, paper making, also animal and human nutrition are sources of valuable services.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

One of the secrets of beekeepers’ success is to have good quality colonies and large populations through the rearing queen. Basically, the quality of a bee colony depends on the physical and genetic characteristics of its queen.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Why do we need a young queen?<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\r\n

Important characteristics of fertility, population, honey production, pollen collection, resistance to pests and diseases, bee behavior, color, tendency to produce offspring, wax, looting, overwintering, and many more are transmitted to the colonies through the queen and practically these attributes are related to her. Young queens that are raised in good conditions usually produce a larger population than older queens and as a result, their production performance will be higher.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Therefore, in order to make the most of bees, their queen must always be young, fertile, and with very good physical and genetic characteristics. Given that the useful and economic life of the queen is about two years, so the queen bees should be changed at most every two years. This shows the importance of the rearing queen.<\/span><\/p>\r\n
